In July 2008, Hitomi adopted the remaining three kittens in a litter of seven (two Tabbies, five Siamese), all born sometime in April 2008. They are all indoor-only cats and a source of great love and inspiration for Neko Habitat LLC and the company’s unique and contemporary pet bed designs. Here are their stories:

Tiger (Male, Tabby, 16.1 lbs) - “Leader of the Pack”

Confident, curious, friendly and affectionate ever since he was a little kitten, Tiger is an expert fly catcher, loves to play fetch, can climb like his namesake, enjoys hiding in big bags, sleeps like a starfish with his belly-side up and comes running to greet you whenever you return home. He is intensely vocal and will wake you up early every single morning like clockwork with a nudge of his paw on your face for breakfast. He enjoys drinking water from a running faucet and absolutely adores catnip. Tiger has beautiful black- and grey-striped markings and piercing yellow-green eyes.

Kobe (Male, Siamese, 14.1 lbs) - “Mama’s Boy”

Handsome yet extremely shy, Kobe is deeply attached to me (his “mum”) and can always be found curled up by my feet when I am at the computer, meowing for attention and “pawing” at me for something, but quickly vanishes from view when a new person tries to get too close. He wears his tail flat on his back, loves to be brushed and his meow sounds more like a duck’s “quack!” Kobe’s favourite toy is the feather-on-a-pole and he can leap nearly three feet into the air to catch it! He goes crazy over catnip. Kobe has a very round face and his fur is cream with classic chocolate point markings and haunting blue eyes.

Swoosh (Female, Siamese, 9.7 lbs) – “Sweet Angel”

Little Swoosh is the runt of the litter, but despite her small stature she gives her brothers a run for their money when it comes to chasing and play-fighting. She is fiercely independent, relishes her naps in the sunny part of the house and always does a front somersault after catching her “prey” and doing the bunny kicks. Swoosh loves to rub up against your legs and get under your feet – so you must be careful when running up or down the stairs! Unlike her brothers, she is not interested in catnip. Enviously svelte, Swoosh’s fur is cream with classic chocolate point markings and her probing blue eyes are crossed!
